I am an independent contemporary dance artist from Tkaronto (Toronto). After completing my Masters in Contemporary Choreography at York University in 2014, I pursued my career by working as a part-time professor, as well as a performer, and choreographer. Anchoring myself in practices of pleasure - bringing together people, seeking joy, and creating inviting spaces and offerings - I created an embodied movement practice, “Pleasure Sourcing”, that I've had the privilege to share in workshops across Canada.
Since relocating to Tk'emlups (Kamloops) during the pandemic, I have shifted my focus towards somatics. Completing certifications in Somatic Trauma Therapy, Politics of Trauma, Resiliency Toolkit, as well as Cuddle Therapy, I began to carve my own version of the work I hope to offer. Returning to school to become a registered therapist was a choice I grappled with many times. Most of my healing was thanks to the hands of healers that have not been formally educated. The systems that educate force you to give up your own bodies wisdom, and I no longer wish to contaminate that stream with external noise. I am continuing my training by working towards becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
