Meet Vanessa
Hey, I'm Vanessa A. Woulfe. I am a contemporary dance artist, originally from Tkaronto (Toronto). After completing my Masters in Contemporary Choreography at York University in 2014, I continued working as a performer, professor, facilitator and choreographer, and anchored myself in practices of pleasure - bringing together people, seeking joy, and creating inviting spaces and offerings. Since relocating to Tk'emlups (Kamloops) during the pandemic, I have started two business ventures - Stellarfeels Somatics and First Dance Company.
First Dance Company is the branch of Stellarfeels that offers a variety of dance lessons and workshops within Kamloops. Specializing in teaching beginner dance to couples wanting to deepen their connection through movement.

Stellarfeels is where I have expanded my somatic and creative movement practice. Completing certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, I offer somatic wellness sessions to individuals that are facing challenges or are noticing limited results from traditional talk therapy. My embodied movement practice, Pleasure Sourcing, developed during my MFA, continues to grow and be offered in a variety of creative and wellness settings. Check the homepage for a list of upcoming events!
I'm a neurospicy, single mom and member of 2SLGBTQ+ community. I am a survivor sexual abuse and domestic violence, and have lived through mental health challenges. Through my work and personal life I continue to dismantle my own and systemic racists patriarchal capitalist agendas.
